I was very interested in your “The Chemistry of Relationships” post. The article that you chose to reference was very fitting for the topic in of monogamous vs. polygamous relationships. I think that it’s important to have a thoroughly research background before stating a position on any given topic. You did a very nice job of summarizing the types of attraction while providing examples and summarizing with your own personal option. Well done!
I was immediately interested as I read the intro of your posting “It’s Just Not Natural” to see what more you had to say on the topic. I too have heard so many people argue that homosexuality is, “just not natural” and that it’s not the way that we were made to mate. I laugh as I think of all of the comments that I’ve heard regarding homosexuality, my favorite being, “it’s Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve.” I thought that you did a good job of considering the homosexual activity of animals while talking about that of humans. I also thought that you did a great job of closing your posting with a strong reference from Kluger about witnessing and understanding same-sex activity and then by saying that this debate will likely continue.

I was really impressed by the survey that you complied for “Is Man Monogamous?”. I could tell that some specific thought went into your questions as several of them appeared to be cause/effect from the previous question. The first few questions were well thought out and general enough to easy anyone into participating in the survey. As you continued your survey the questions became more specific and personal, in order to obtain the information that you are looking for. This survey would be great to use with anyone male/female, young/old, single/married, hetero/homosexual or monogamous/polygamous. Well done Whitney.
I thought that you did a really good job of using the text source to support the idea of animals engaging in homosexual acts. Your posting was well organized and supported with text citations and theories, but I thought that you may have been able to further expand on this topic. What do you think about human and animal homosexuality? I really enjoy reading your postings and think that you did a good job of keeping this particular posting scientific rather than opinion. The only thing that I wanted to note was a typo in your title on the word instinct; other than that, great job!
